Position: Work in the Pre-School and Ladies' Ministry Length of Term: 3-12 months Location: Mthatha - based at Rehoboth Size of Team: Two young ladies Description: Teach and work with the children at Sondela Pre-School. They would be required to read stories to the children, do a physical activity each day with the children (perhaps teach them a dance or a song) and help in the classes along side the teachers. There would also be one week-end they would be involved in the Ladies week-end with Louise, which involves teaching as well as catering. Photocopying of ZEBS notes is also something that takes quite a lot of time and needs work. They should have their own vehicle. A personal note from the Adkins: An area where we personally would appreciate input is in Peta-Jade's life, it would be very special to us if one or both of the young ladies could do a Bible Study with PJ ( 12 years old) once a week and mentor her spiritually.
Request For Missionary Couple March 2012 to October 2013
Position: General Short Term Position at Sunbury Christian Camp Location: KZN, Sunbury Christian Camp Description: Presently there are 4 missionary couples/families living at Sunbury. Beginning in March 2011 we will begin a period of almost 3 years where each of these couples will be leaving and on furlough. There exists a need for a couple with some maturity and experience to come and fill in the gap at Sunbury Christian camp while these families are away. Due to the variety of ministries carried out regularly by these missionaries, the nature of this couples' ministry would be varied and change as each of the missionary couples come and go from their respective furloughs. The responsibilities involved in this assignment could include: light maintenance and management of the maintenance and staff, teaching at ZEBS and ZEBS admin such as keeping track of attendance and homework and providing materials required for each of the schools. Another area of ministry will be the oversight of the housekeeping staff, as well as some children's ministries locally. This couple may also be asked to do a bit of Sunbury office management and bookkeeping. We work as a team at Sunbury to develop each person's ministry and to assist that person in accomplishing his/her goals. This couple would not be asked to cover, in their entirety all areas at all times, but rather to slot into the team and assist the team in covering the responsibilities which will need addressing in each missionary's absence. Qualifications: We are asking God to provide a couple with skills in the above mentioned areas. This couple should be comfortable to step in wherever a need arises and able to be flexible as the needs will change. This couple must be ready to live in community for an extended period of time. Different communication styles can be a strength and also a challenge to work through. This couple must be ready to work with the communication styles of others and to be in constant communication about both ministry needs as well as personal plans which effect the ministry and community at Sunbury.
